And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Obstacle

Lord, lead me in your righteousness, remove the obstacles in the way in which you are guiding me! For you are the one true God and my mighty refuge who gives me strength. Remind me not to pass judgment on another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister. Teach me to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that I have learned and to avoid them. Keep me from being a hindrance to the gospel of Christ. I will try not to give anyone an occasion for taking an offense in anything, so that no fault may be found with my ministry. I tear down arguments and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against your knowledge, and I take every thought captive to make it obey Christ. It is in his name I pray, Amen.
