And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Zeal

Father, let my testimony be that I am zealous for you, but remind me to keep my zeal in line with the truth. For it is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge, and if I act hastily, I will make poor choices. Certainly zeal for your house should consume me; I will endure the insults of those who insult you. I do not want to lag in zeal, I long to be enthusiastic in spirit, serving you my Lord. You wear your desire for justice like body armor, and your desire to deliver is like a helmet on your head. You put on the garments of vengeance and wear zeal like a robe. Your dominion will be vast and you will bring immeasurable prosperity. You will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. Your intense devotion to your people will accomplish this. Look down from heaven and take notice, from your holy, majestic palace! Do not hold back your tender compassion! In the name of the Son, Amen.

God is good! I deal with people all the time who insult God, It's hard not to open my mouth and shout. To try to show them how Good he is. It's a struggle, daily. Instead I pray, asking for forgiveness for them.

Another awesome prayer Chris. The part of, "I will endure the insults of those who insult you" is one that is hard to do without speaking out as Tami stated, but it is important to keep in line with the Lord and ask for forgiveness for them. After all, it's the least we can do. Thanks for another great start to the day with prayer.
