And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Failure

Father, as a person dedicated to you, I will strive to keep away from all evil. Instead I will pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness. I long to compete well for the faith and lay hold of that eternal life I was called for and made my good confession for in the presence of many witnesses. Charge me O God, who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus, to obey this command without fault or failure until the appearing of my Lord Jesus Christ in whose name I pray, Amen.
