And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Umpire

Father, remind me that as your elect, holy and dearly loved, I must clothe myself with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with others and forgiving others. Just as you have forgiven me, so I also need to forgive others. And to all these virtues teach me true love, which is the perfect bond. Let me tap into the peace of Christ so that it may control my heart, moving me into thankfulness. Let the word of Christ dwell in me richly, teaching and exhorting others with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in my heart to you my God. And whatever I do in word or deed, I will do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen.
