Payoff

Father, remind me that the reward for humility and fearing you is riches and honor and life. Let me not count the guilty innocent for a payoff, ingnoring the just cause of the innocent. So what benefit did I then reap from those things that I am now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death. But now, freed from sin and enslaved to you, I have my benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life. For the payoff of sin is death, but the your gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus my Lord. Amen.
