And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Pain

Father, I have cursed my sufferings and my sores but still I have refused to repent of my sins. O God! Deliver me and protect me from my own ways! Forgive all my sins! One day, your residence will be among us, and we will be your people, and you will be with us. You will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and death will not exist anymore - or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things will cease to exist. Father, I know that though my discipline seems painful right now, later it will produce the fruit of peace and righteousness. It is in your Son's name, I pray. Amen.
