Father, do not let me forget the exhortation addressed to me as one of your children. To not scorn your discipline or give up when you correct me. For you discipline the one you love and chastise everyone you accept. I will endure my suffering as discipline; you are treating me as your child. For what child is there that a father does not discipline? But if I do not experience discipline, something all children have shared in, then I am illegitimate and am not a son. Besides, I have experienced discipline from my earthly father and I respected him; shall I not submit myself all the more to the you and receive life? For my earthly father disciplined me for a little while as seemed good to him, but you do so for my benefit, that I may share your holiness. Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for me if I am trained by it. Now may your peace who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, my Lord Jesus Christ, equip me with every good thing to do your will, working in me what is pleasing before you through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever! Amen.

Amen! When God disciplines us it is because He truly truly loves us and does not want us to make the same mistake again. I am so glad I serve a God who truly truly loves and cares for me! AMEN!
