And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Reality

Father, thank you for the reality that whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ has been fathered by you, and everyone who loves you loves the child fathered by you. By this I know, that I love the children of God whenever I love you and obey your commandments. For this is the love of God: that I keep your commandments. And your commandments do not weigh me down, because everyone who has been fathered by you conquers the world. And I know that the Son of God has come and has given me insight to know him who is true, and I am in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
