And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Purity

Father, remind me to be pure in heart and conduct so that I may avoid corruption. Keep me from violence. Remind me to use pleasant words that are free from deceit. Do not let my arrogance blind me of my sinfulness. Provide me with the blessings that come from a pure and gracious lifestyle. Help me to raise those around me with pure teaching from your flawless word. Teach me humility by reminding me of my sinfulness. Show me that with purity comes peace of mind. Guard my heart so that I can recognize when my motives are not pure. Let my guilt be a measure of my impurity. Teach me that true giving comes from purity. Thank you Jesus, for freeing me from my sins. Teach me to focus on being like you. It's in your holy name I pray, Amen.
