Balance

Father, honest scales and balances are from you. Remind me that we are nothing but a mere breath, unreliable at best. When we are weighed in the scales, all of us together are lighter than air. Like Abraham, I am fully convinced that what you promised, you are also able to do. So indeed, because he believed, it was credited to Abraham as righteousness. But the statement it was credited to him was not written only for Abraham’s sake, but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.
